Morro Bay House - Texas A&M, Junior Year

This was my final project for my second
year studio, spring semester 2023. We were
asked to design a house on a sloped site in
Morro Bay, California.
Design Program:
• 2000 sqft
• 3 beds and 2 baths
• CLT exterior walls
• one concrete/Masonry structure inside the
house

For my design I decided to focus on a perfect view of the ocean from every public in the house. To do that I separated house down the middle with public space on the south side and private on the north. This created a large open space from the upstairs kitchen to the downstairs living room. For the west facade facing the beach I place a large curtain wall so that the view to the beach would not be obstructed and all the natural
light would come in.

Live Lightly Community Center - Texas A&M, Junior Year

This was our final project for the semester. We were given a site in Bryan that was roughly 125’ x 250’ and then asked to design a

mutli-purpose community building. The building was required to include a gym, restaurant, farmers market, bakery, butcher shop, shopping school, apartments, and an underground parking garage. Each space was giving a required area and then we had to calculate the assignable space and the building’s efficiency ratio. Also provide studies we did to help our design.

Grid Tower Model - Texas A&M University, Sophomore Year

For this we were asked to created grids that incorporated intersecting spaces and lines. Then we put them into sketchup where we extruded them into 3D boxes. After we made the boxes we stacked them three times to create a tower with ramps and pathways connecting the spaces.
